Phoenix, AZ - Today, ALIENTO launched their new campaign, ALIENTO Votes.
ALIENTO Votes is a non-partisan campaign led by directly impacted youth leaders and allies who are committed to educating, exciting and engaging Undocumented and DACAmented volunteers and leaders who are impacted by this election as well as young and Latinx voters who are committed to keep in mind that dreamers and undocumented families cannot vote and willing to cast their ballot with them in mind.
Their goal is to engage, educate and mobilize 25,000 Arizona young and Latinx voters.
In 2016, only 42% of all registered youth voters ages 18-35 voted in the 2016 election. In the same year, only 46% of the registered latinx community voted. ALIENTO will ensure young voters and the Latinx population have the knowledge and skills to be active in their civic duty to vote.
