Press Statement: New York Judge Nicholas Garaufis Orders to Restore DACA
PHOENIX, AZ. - On December 4th, US Judge Nicholas Garaufis has ordered the Trump administration to fully restore the DACA, instructing DHS to accept new as well as advance parole applications on Monday 12/7/2020. After years of lawsuits, executive orders, and thousands of sleepless nights and tears from the community, the DACA program will finally reopen. Undocumented youth will be able to apply for protection from deportation, driver's license, social security, and know that they are welcome in this country.
There are approximately 23,000 eligible undocumented youth for the DACA program with 2,000 high school seniors at Arizona schools who will get a little more certainty to their lives.

I want to give back to the only country that I know. I migrated to the country due to my medical condition. Today, I am happy that I will be able to apply to the DACA program. Obtain a driver's license, a work permit, and social security. Dreamers like me need a permanent solution. I am asking Senator Kelly, Senator Sinema and the Biden Administration to prioritize a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers like me.”
