Location: 4747 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, AZ, and schools in Maricopa County

Position Summary
Aliento is seeking someone with experience in student leadership, community-based programming, youth development, and event planning and execution to support our Nurture Team.
Student Clubs & Hubs Coordinator (contractor) will ensure consistent support, leadership development, and alignment across all clubs/hubs, whether or not a fellow/intern is present.
This is a contract-based, temporary position and not an offer of employment. The contractor will provide services that include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
As a Student Clubs & Hubs Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate and support all nine Aliento clubs & partners and their leadership boards with programming, logistics, and operations.
Attend all in-person meetings and events at each club/hub site.
Must have reliable transportation.
Build and maintain strong relationships and checkpoints with club leaders and hub advisors.
Support the integration of clubs/hubs into Aliento’s broader campaigns and initiatives.
Lead community-building programming for club/hub leadership teams.
Develop and streamline the process for becoming an Aliento-affiliated club.
Review and update club onboarding and training materials, including expectations and values alignment.
Onboard new clubs and ensure adoption of Aliento’s mission and vision.
Facilitate cross-club collaboration and peer learning opportunities.
Identify pathways for deeper engagement of student leaders with Aliento (e.g., fellowships, advocacy, public speaking).
Collaborate with the Leadership Development Coordinator on overlapping programming between fellows and clubs.
Other duties as assigned and mutually agreed upon.

Are comfortable in bilingual (Spanish/English) spaces — fluency in Spanish is not required
Have experience facilitating, mentoring, or working with youth (preferred but not required)

Minimum Qualifications
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 lbs
18 years of age or older
At least 2 years of experience working with youth or students in educational, nonprofit, mentoring, or community-based settings
Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially with youth audiences
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel within Maricopa County and occasionally travel to Tucson as needed.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance (if driving is required for the role)
Ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card and complete volunteer clearance with school partners
Access to a personal laptop, mobile phone, and a reliable internet connection
Ability to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and submit a W-9 form
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working or volunteering with immigrant communities, youth, or in educational settings
Background in teaching, group facilitation, arts education, or mentorship programs
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules, documentation, and communication effectively
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality when working with students
Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented or marginalized communities
Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) preferred
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
Weekly Hours Limit: Project-based hours. Max amount $15,000 through December 2025.
Contract Basis: No benefits included; must track and invoice hours, travel expenses not reimbursable, and, depending on the location of programming, there might be a stipend on a case-by-case basis.
