(IN) VISIBLE - A Gallery Art Showing

Aliento is presenting (IN) VISIBLE, a gallery showcase of the work produced this last year in Aliento’s Arts and Healing Workshops for DACA/undocumented youth and migrant families. This year’s theme brings migrant voices to light by transforming feelings of anxiety and invisibility into a visible celebration of our resilience and our hope. Alongside the community, we hope to celebrate our voices and stories through the art showcase, performances, and interactive art activities.

We will also be receiving donations for the continuation of our Arts and Healing Workshops which create a space for reflection, tenderness, skills training, and strength building to cope with and combat against the trauma and hardship of living undocumented. Donations will be accepted at the event.

This gallery art showing and fundraising is bilingual, open to the public and it’s family friendly.  We are honored to be in partnership with the Mesa Artspace Lofts and receive the welcoming remarks of the Honorable Mayor John Giles. We will feature the artwork produced in the arts and Healing workshops: paintings, poems, crafts, reflective exercises, testimonials, and amazing local artists.

Reyna Montoya, founder and CEO of Aliento states, “We at Aliento are so excited to create a space where the stories of youth and migrant families are shared through art. Art is a great vehicle for everyone to express their emotions and connect at the human level.”
