Position Summary

Aliento is seeking Arts & Healing Facilitators to support Cultiva programming across Arizona. Cultiva creates safe, creative spaces for students and families to engage in healing, self-expression, and community-building through art.

Facilitators will co-lead workshops using the provided curriculum, guiding reflective prompts, mindfulness practices, and art-making across formats (virtual support groups, in-class and after-school sessions, open mics, and weekend workshops). This is a flexible contractor role; facilitators sign up for shifts and assignments are coordinated by the Cultiva Program Manager.

Ideal candidates are committed to mental health education, arts practice, immigrant justice, and community care. Candidates should be dependable, prepared, and adept at engaging diverse audiences. You should communicate compassionately and effectively with students and be comfortable operating in bilingual (Spanish/English) environments. Spanish fluency is not required. Subject-matter expertise in every mental health topic or medium is not expected; facilitators must demonstrate a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and uphold Aliento’s values professionally.

Selected facilitators will receive training and ongoing support; come ready to engage, remain open to guidance, and request support as needed.
